After several years of renting, Phil and I decided to do what several of you have done many times in the past. Yes, we bought our first house!
Keep in mind that I get buyers remorse if I have to spend too much on a can of soup at the grocery store, so this was a huge deal. After a lot of research, soul searching, asking around, and educating ourselves on the process we felt confident enough in this decision to go forward.
The house we were lucky enough to buy is in our current neighborhood, The Fairmount Historic District. It was built in 1920 and has a lot of old charm and character. Renovations and updates have been done in the last 90 years which make it modern enough for us without taking away too many of the historic properties.
