Mama Sue and Lilly Bug

Family

Here we have our wonderful Mama Sue holding Lilly. Tommie and I brought her up to see Mama Sue at home so she could show her off to her friends. (which she did!) Lilly was a hit and everyone there thought she was the most adorable baby ever!
This is a picture of Tommie and John holding Lillian at the hospital the day after she was born.

Lilly Lee & Gracie Green

Lilly got to visit her friend Gracie while we were here in San Antonio! Here they are showing off their bows! Gracie is only 6 days older than Lillian. ;-)
The second picture is Lilly standing!

Christmas Time!

Lillian is ready for Christmas!

Uncle Chris and Lillian

Since Chris loves comic books, I thought making his picture with him holding her into a cartoon would be a good Christmas present. I hope he likes it! Lillian was only a few weeks old when this picture was taken. SO TINY!

A Wedding in League City

Lillian was second only to the bride at Kristin Lee's wedding! With her beautiful Christmas dress on and matching bow, she was a site to see. The below picture is Uncle Jay holding her with a blurry Bernie saying high to her before walking Kristin down the aisle. The next picture is Uncle Dan holding Lilly. They said they wanted to hold her to make John jealous. Did it work?

Roll On Over!

Lillian rolled over for the first time yesterday! I laid her on a pallet of blankets yesterday with the sole purpose of seeing if she would be able to roll over. I sat at my computer while watching her on her tummy for at least 30 minutes. I got up to get something from the living room and when I turned back around she was on her back! My little turkey waited until my back was turned to roll over!!

My Baby Can Read!

You will notice from these pictures that my 3 month old baby can read. I'm sure she gets it from both parents as we are both voracious readers. I guess all that reading to her in utero really paid off! The book was from Grandma Tommie and was titled "Night, Night, Baby.". As you can see, it was a real page turner!

Discovery!

We bought this toy from a friend but we didn't think we would be able to use it this soon!
The normal age for holding her head up without assistance is 4-6 months but she's only 3 months old. The toys captured her attention right away and she began exploring. I'm so proud of my Lilly Bug!

GG-Great Grandma

My dad's mom is now GG... or Great Grandma Mina.
We celebrated her 76th birthday last weekend and sweet Lilly G got passed around to everyone at least twice! Grandma told me she was the best present anyone could have given her.

Me and My Girl

Lillian and I were all bundled up to go to dinner with Tony and Vic this weekend. Tony absolutely LOVES babies! We ate at a rice and noodle place and Lillian was a complete angel. She ended up using her hat as a toy and it kept her occupied.

Lillian and Vincent

We had some visitors this weekend! Danny and Melanie stopped by with their new son Vincent. He was born 4 days before Lillian and already outweighs her by at least 2 lbs! His head is also larger! It looks like she may be a little bit longer than he is but not by much. We hope our kids will be best friends! Even if we do live in different cities.

Her Own Bed

Lillian is currently sleeping in her own bed (crib) for the first time ever tonight. I have to admit to shedding a few emotional tears. I would take a picture of her because I have her swaddled up nice and tight however she somehow managed to get one leg out, but I know the flash would wake her. She cried for a good eight minutes and I didn't think I was going to make it but she stopped crying just as easily as she started (I checked to see if my monitor was broken). I perceived her cry tonight was one of anger at being abandoned. I felt like a horrible mother but I just keep telling myself she can't sleep with us forever. We will see how this first night goes.
She will be eight weeks old tomorrow so this is a sort of milestone. My goal is to get her (and the whole family) on a bedtime schedule at least. Bath, massage, new diaper, swaddle, nurse, then bed. I'll let you know how that works out. Pray that I have the strength to do what's best for my daughter even when it's hard for both of us.

2 Weddings and a Baby

This weekend we went to 2 weddings! One on Saturday and one on Sunday.
Our friend Stephen Prince married Jessica Rose Saturday night and the wedding was beautiful! It was held at Tyler Street and the reception was at Maggiano's.
Sunday Stephanie Jones married Michael Wise... both Stephen and Stephanie have been friends with Phil since childhood. We had a wonderful time and Lillian behaved herself quite nicely. It helps to have a lot of people around who love holding babies!Stephanie Jones

Jordan Bogart's dad... he looks like Santa!!

Lillian at Home Part 1

A look at a typical morning in the Lee home... Sometimes we sit around and "talk" to each other. This is when we get to see her vast facial expressions. Sometimes she'll just sit there daydreaming while other times she likes to interact with us by smiling and moving her hands and feet a lot. Of course, we are powerless against her charms...

More Smiles!

Smile!

She's smiling!!! Phillip and I could watch her all day. It's so fun to sit and talk to her and see what she "says". Sometimes she'll coo and make bubbles and sometimes she'll just smile and smile like she thinks we're the two funniest people in the world. What a fun milestone!

Christmas in October

I know today is only October 1st but I couldn't help myself. Today I found Lillian's first ornament. Phillip and I both have matching Precious Moments Ornaments from our first Christmas' (his is blue and mine is pink) so I thought it was only appropriate that Lillian's first ornament be Precious Moments as well.

Sleepy Baby

Phil brushed her hair after her bath and she fell straight to sleep... she loves to sleep near or on top of mom or dad. Love this baby!

Lillian at the Library

Lillian's first trip to the Fort Worth Central Library downtown Fort Worth. She slept almost the whole time!

Pretty Baby Girl

Taking a nap with Grandma, she still checks to make sure her bow didn't fall off... :-)
