Just moments after she walked down the aisle (and directly to dad who was sitting in a front pew) Dad sat her down at the back of the chapel where she proceeded to walk!
Why couldn't she have done that five minutes earlier?
Oh well, better late than never. :-)

Lillian's Big Day
Lillian was a flower girl for the first time! Our friends Dan and Andrea asked Lillian to walk down the aisle sprinkling rose petals for their wedding. I had to remind them that she can't walk very well yet, so they said I could walk with her!
Here she is playing with Andrea's son, Juan Lois just minutes before the wedding started. He was putting rose petals on her dog and she was trying to feed him the rose petals in return. She wasn't the happiest camper that day, but she was all smiles for her moment walking down the aisle.

Lillian's 1st Birthday with Mom & Dad, August 13, 2011
Her first birthday cake was a white chocolate blueberry bundt cake. Chosen because blueberries are currently one of Lillian's favorite foods.
The morning of August 17th, Lillian's birthday. Mom made her a birthday breakfast complete with blueberries, strawberries, scrambled eggs and milk. No, that's not a bottle of mustard.

Dad took pictures while mom measured how tall Doodle was on her birthday. 30.5 inches!!
She got an awesome percussion set for her birthday! It's got the drums (seen here) that were full of egg shakers, an ant wearing bell bottoms with bells on his ankles, centipede drum sticks, butterfly tambourine and a bumblebee rattle.

Lillian's 1st Birthday, party at GG's house!
My grandma Mina, or "GG" to Lillian, threw Lillian a birthday party on Sunday, August 14th.
Gram, Pops, Aunt Denise, Uncle Curtis, Jeff, Melissa and Tyler all showed up!
GG gave her her own cupcake and a towel and let her make a BIG mess! She even got frosting in her shoes!
Lillian loves Gram... and I'm sure the feeling is mutual. Lillian was being very affectionate, giving Gram lots of hugs and kisses.
Lillian kept touching her forehead to GGs... I think it was her special way of thanking her for throwing her a party.
August 2011
Lillian has starting beaming her beautiful smile at us. Now that her baby fat is going away, she has become a beautiful "big girl"! She loved wearing this house around all day!
Lillian and Kobi are best friends. Notice how she's scratching his chin? He is so good with her. Her doting big brother.
I ordered something that came in a large box but instead of throwing out the box, we decided to make a house! Dad cut the windows and Lilly supplied the ambiance.

If you look closely, you can see what Lillian is looking at... she loves watching the world through her window.
She saw Winnie the Pooh at the Disney store and the first thing she did was give him a big hug, rock him back and forth, then she laid her head down on him. I "had" to buy him for her.
Lillian decided she wanted to help mom put the new desk together... she wasn't the most helpful person I could have had on my team, but she sure is cute!

Beautiful Baby
It's official, I have the best baby in the world! She's cute, she sings, she dances, she's learning to scoot/crawl and she says "da da". She sleeps through the night and she eats all her veggies. I don't know what I did to get so lucky.
This picture is of her looking through our coffee table. She was successful in clearing out everything that was on this shelf but she wanted to have one last look. I squatted down on the other side and took this picture. BUSTED!

Yapples!!
In an effort to feed our baby only the best, we have begun making our own baby food. Her favorite so far has been Yapples! Yams, apples and just a bit of cinnamon. This actually tastes good! (yes, I've tried it!) Her other favorites are good ol' bananas, pears and apples. She tried asparagus last night for the first time and she actually like that too! We mixed it with pears and call it Pearagus though... we also put some plain yogurt in it as well. That was her first green veggie that she actually ate though so we're moving in the right direction.
The touch, the feel, of cotton!
Lillian loves using her fingers to feel EVERYTHING! Late at night when the lights are out and you're half way asleep you might hear something that sounds like a mouse, but it's just Lillian's little fingers feeling her sheets or the netting around her pac-n-play... she even does this in her sleep! Phil has often commented on her caressing the back of his arm when her holds her, not to mention the many times she has grabbed a handful of his beard! My little girl loves to learn with her fingers!
