Lillian Grace Lee

It's a GIRL! Phil and I went in today to see if they could tell us the gender of our bundle of joy and sure enough, they did! At first her foot was in the way and as cute as that was, it was also frustrating to have my belly poked and prodded by the ultrasound technician to try to move it. I ended up spending a few minutes in the waiting room to see if she would move on her own. Lucky for us, she was spread eagle and waiting to reveal her secrets. The picture below shows her legs up in the air and spread apart. The second picture is a profile picture of her with her mouth open. To me it looks like someone just told her a really funny joke and she's laughing.

My Attempt at Fried Apples

I awoke Sunday morning craving fried apples. I didn't want just any kind, I wanted the kind they make at Cheddar's or Saltgrass. I googled a recipe but they all called for 8 apples and I had only been alloted one. They all had the same basic ingredients, however, so I decided to throw away all recipes and just go with what I knew it my heart would work.
Fried applies have 4 main ingredients... apples, butter, brown sugar, spice. I could only find my cinnamon but I really wanted more than just that so I opted to use my brand new pumpkin spice! For my tastes, anything with nutmeg in it is a winner!
As you can see from my picture, I left the skin on the apples. Although not the healthiest meal, everyone knows the skin is the best part for you.
Taste test... no, my fried apples tasted nothing like Cheddar's or Saltgrass... but I'm sure with a little more practice I'll have it down in no time!

Baby Clothes

As promised earlier, here are the pictures of the baby clothes we have so far. The top picture is a picture of the stuff Phil bought. The red one is a tiny t-shirt that says WEEN and the white onsie has a picture of boognish on the front. It's sparkly so I love it!

These next two outfits are from mom... we call them "sweetpea" pajamas because Popeye and Olive Oil dressed their baby Sweetpea in little outfits like this... they don't have any legs, just a pull string or elastic at the bottom.

Baby Bump

Here is a picture of the "baby bump" at 14 weeks 4 days. I miss my flat stomach but this is all part of the miracle of life!

Today I am 15 weeks 3 days and have almost completely devoured a whole chipotle burrito. I'm not sure if you've ever eaten one but it is a full pound of burrito... and it is now sitting comfortably in my stomach. If you can believe it, I'm still hungry. I think the baby is getting ready to go through another growth spurt. I went on an eating binge a couple weeks ago and I'm pretty sure the baby doubled in size.

The morning sickness has gone away completely! Besides peeing all the time, having a baby bump, oily hair and crazy skin I don't have any other signs that I'm pregnant. Phil and I listen to the heartbeat now and then to make sure out little one is doing OK in there. It is such a relief to be able to check on the baby in between appointments.

My mother is still buying baby clothes and sending me pictures of them. I'll have to post those up here soon.
